Mustang Public Schools’ Central Office Undergoes Administrative Reorganization

(Mustang, Oklahoma – June 27, 2019) – When Charles Bradley was named Superintendent of Mustang Public Schools in December, he was excited to steward the forward momentum of the District that he calls “home.” After six months of closely examining processes, responsibilities/duties, and pondering his vision for maintaining that momentum, he and the School Board decided to make some changes to the organizational structure of the Central Office Administrative team.

At the Special Board Meeting held Thursday night, the Board approved his suggestions as follows:

Jason Pittenger, Assistant Superintendent is now Assistant Superintendent of Operations

Stacy Edwards, Director of Elementary Education is Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education

Ryan McKinney, Director of Secondary Education is Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education

Dr. Karen Wilson, Director of Special Education is Executive Director of Special Education
Chris Tobler, Director of Human Resources is Executive Director of Human Resources

Kitrena Hime, Coordinator of Student Assistance Programs is Director of Student Assistance Programs

“These are dedicated MPS employees who are committed to the vision of the District,” Director of Communications, Kirk Wilson said.  “The new titles will serve as promotions for each of them, and as such, they will be taking on additional responsibilities.” The duties of the former Deputy Superintendent will be absorbed into these new positions, and the new structure will more clearly delineate academic and operational services.  Superintendent Bradley elaborated, “With the departure of Tracy Skinner from the Deputy Superintendent role, we were afforded an opportunity to examine the Administrative Team and make some adjustments that would allow for individuals to utilize their unique talents and expertise while maintaining the successes of our growing District.”

Commenting on the changes, the newly minted Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education, Ryan McKinney, said, “I am very excited to have this opportunity to help continue to move Mustang Public Schools forward as we strive to be the premier district in Oklahoma.  I look forward to working alongside the great teachers, support staff, administrators, and the community we have in Mustang Public Schools.”  Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education, Stacy Edwards, concurred, “Serving the Mustang community as the Executive Director of Elementary Schools has been extremely rewarding and one of the greatest honors of my career as a professional educator.  I am thrilled to continue my work with MPS, and I look forward to working alongside Mr. Bradley and our outstanding administrative team as we continue to address the needs of our rapidly growing community and equip our students to be college, career, and future ready!”
